Insights Book Group meets quarterly and is open to all Advent women.

The Fall selection is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer.  It is a novel about Oskar Schell, a precocious nine-year-old boy coping with the loss of his father, who died in the 9/11 attacks. When Oskar finds a mysterious key in his father’s belongings, he sets out across New York City to find the lock it opens, meeting a variety of strangers along the way. The story blends Oskar’s quest with the experiences of his grandparents, exploring themes of grief, trauma, love, and the search for connection.
