Faith Builders Ministry year begins Sunday, September 12

The FAITH 5 . . .
coming to Advent in
September

  • Care to have some fun?
  • Want to keep your family communicating every night?
  • Interested in growing in your understanding of yourself ad God?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you'll want to try the simple new five-step process being offered at Advent UMC this fall: The FAITH 5 Kit!  Here's how it works:

1.  First family member heading off to bed calls "FAITH 5" or "Huddle Up".
2.  Everyone must stop what they're doing - turn off the t.v., put down the magazine,       set the cell phone on silent - and gather together in the room of convenors    
    choice.
3.  Take turns going through five simple steps:

  • SHARE highs and lows of the day
  • READ and highlight a verse of Scripture in the Bible.
  • TALK about how the verse relates to your highs and lows
  • PRAY for your highs and lows, for your family, for the world
  • BLESS one another

FAITH 5 Kits will be available for each Advent household beginning Sunday, September 19.  Look for the table stacked with FAITH 5 kits in the Narthex.
Infant & Toddler Room (9 months - 3 years)
A professionally staffed nursery for infants aged 9 months through toddlers age 3 is available from 8:45 a.m. until 12:00 noon each Sunday.
Faith Builders: Preschoolers
(3 years as of Sept. 1 - PreK)
Preschoolers attend worship in the Sanctuary through "Ministry Around the Rock"
then are dismissed to kids worship time and individual class meetings.  For this age
group, children remain in their classrooms with the same teacher for five weeks.
Faith Builders:
Grades K-5
Graded classes are offered on Sunday mornings from September through May during both 9 & 10:45 worship.  For this age group, we use a rotation model where the students explore Bible stories through a variety of hands-on experiences such as cooking, science experiments and computer programs. 
Faith Builders' Saturdays: All Ages
Saturday evenings during "thrive" worship (5 pm) children meet in Fellowship Hall with a teacher and learn how to "LIVE BIG" in their faith! 
ADVENTure Kids
(18 months-PreK)
is Advent's mid-week Parent's Day Out program, now entering it's 4th year serving families in and around the Eagan community. 

This once per week parents' day out program is offered on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. September  through May. 
Children enjoy chapel time, music instructions, crafts, story time and gym and outdoor time.
